If you've ever wondered what it would be like to own alpacas, the very best way to start is with a couple of fiber boys. (They're a lot like Pringles - you can't have just one.) (No, seriously, you can't. They're herd animals and they need at least one buddy.) Low-maintenance, low-cost, low-stress, high-enjoyment. Learn how to feed them, trim toenails, take fecal samples, identify problems, even shear - without the extra worry about the special needs of pregnant and lactating females and young crias. Owning fiber boys first will give you the confidence you need to succeed when you are ready to own breeding stock. We also suggest selecting a good mentor farm if you are just beginning. Your mentor farm will be one of the most important aspects of your success and happiness with alpacas.

Although we are in the "growing our herd" stage, we still have a number of affordable animals for sale. Click on a name in the table below for more details of each sales offer. Two males purchased together are at the discounted rate of $400 each, and three at $300 each.

All of our fiber boys are sold with a Zephyr halter and training lead (value $37), and if desired, a copy of Marty McGee Bennett's DVD, Alpaca Training and Handling (value $50). As a bonus, if you live within 60 miles of us we will shear them for you for the discounted price of $15/animal.

We know first-hand how important it is to have the support of the farm who sells you your first, or 50th, alpaca. Our support doesn't end when the sales contract is signed, it is just the beginning. We realize many people will not have livestock experience when getting into the business. We can help you with all of the details of setting up your farm, from choosing fencing to pasture layouts. Want some hands-on experience with herd management chores? We will provide a supportive environment for learning these tasks. We are also happy to accompany you to alpaca related seminars, alpaca shows, and Upper Midwest Alpaca meetings if you so desire.
