100% US alpaca – locally grown and milled. Skeins in seven natural colors. Indulge yourself with this exotic fiber previously reserved for royalty. Knit something luxurious for yourself, or give the gift of luxury to your friends or family.
All skeins are 2-ply, sport weight, 200 yards (approx. 183 meters). Weights per skein vary from 2.4-4.2 ounces, or 68-119 grams. Micron will vary slightly, but all skeins are fine enough to produce a soft, quality garment such as a hat or scarf or mittens.
Allergic to wool? Alpaca fiber has no lanolin to react to. Alpaca hairs have flatter scales than many wool breeds, resulting in less "prickle," especially in these finer micron yarns.
Colors:
Heavenly Ivory: the softest and finest of the colors available from our shop.
Canyon Dawn: a beautiful rose grey, also some of our softest yarn.
Granite Silver Grey: a dark silver grey, always a classic.
Coffee Bean Brown: rich dark chocolate brown – one of our favorite colors, which explains Brigid!
Black: we have two shades – Obsidian Jet Black, a rich true black, and Darkest Bay Black, with just a hint of very dark brown mixed in.

Care:
Hand wash with mild soap, or dry clean. Do not agitate or spin (or felting may occur). Lay flat to dry, do not twist.
